Bajaj Finserv net profit rises 37% on insurance biz

Mumbai: Bajaj Finserv reported a 37% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit at ₹1,346.1 crore for the quarter ended March.

Revenue rose led by its insurance business. The gross premium written of the life insurance business rose 27% to ₹5,718.7 crore, while it rose 18.4% year-on-year for the general insurance business.

Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company reported net profit of ₹248 crore as against ₹278 crore in the year-ago quarter.


However, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance saw sharp decline in net profit to ₹48 crore from ₹234 crore in the year-ago quarter.
