Aster DM Q3 Results: Firm posts Rs 36 crore profit

Mumbai: Aster DM Healthcare, the multi-speciality hospital chain reported Rs 36 crore net profit in Q3FY22.

The healthcare provider posted net loss of 8 crore during the same period of the previous year.

Revenue from operations rose 19% YoY to Rs 2,650 crore in Q3FY22 compared to Rs. 2,228 crore in Q3FY21.


Around three-fourths of Aster's revenues come from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, of which UAE accounts for lion share. The rest comes from hospitals in India.

Aster has 921 operational beds in GCC and 2907 operational beds in India as of December 31.

The total bed capacity is 5,080 spread across 27 hospitals in GCC and India, in addition, Aster has 118 clinics, 323 pharmacies and 66 diagnostic labs.

The average length of stay, a measure of the hospital's ability to efficiently monetise assets stood at 2.9 days. The average occupancy rate rose to 62%, compared to 57% in the corresponding period of the previous year. The average revenue per occupied bed stood at Rs 64,900 in Q3FY22.
