Archies Ltd's Q1 net profit up 25% at Rs 1.20 crore

NEW DELHI: Gift items retailer Archies Ltd today posted a 25 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 1.20 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011.

For the three months ended June 30, 2010, the company's net profit stood at Rs 96.60 lakh, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange ( BSE).

Archies' net sales increased by 20.31 per cent in the first quarter of the current financial year to Rs 41.51 crore from Rs 34.50 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

The company's scrips were being quoted at Rs 41.75 per share in afternoon trade on the BSE, down 3.58 per cent from their previous close.
