Aptech posts net loss of Rs 22.35 cr for 15 months ended March

IT training firm Aptech on Tuesday said it recorded a consolidated net loss of Rs 22.35 crore for the 15-month period ended March 31, 2010.

MUMBAI: IT training firm Aptech on Tuesday said it recorded a consolidated net loss of Rs 22.35 crore for the 15-month period ended March 31, 2010.

In comparison, the company posted a net profit of Rs 44.44 crore for the January 1, 2008-December 31, 2008, period, Aptech said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company will now follow the April-March financial year instead of the earlier January-December fiscal.

The company's consolidated net income for the 15 months ended March 31, 2010, stood at Rs 159.77 crore.

This was against a total income of Rs 273.92 crore for the fiscal ended December 31, 2008.

For the 15 months ended March 31, 2010, the company recorded a net profit of Rs 86.35 crore on a standalone basis. This is against a net profit of Rs 4.75 crore for the 12 months ended December 31, 2008, it said.

Total income (standalone) stood at Rs 120.21 crore for the 15 months ended March 31, 2010, against Rs 112.99 crore for the 12 months ended December 31, 2010.
