Amtek Auto reports net loss of Rs 132 crore

NEW DELHI: Auto component maker Amtek Auto today reported net loss of Rs 132.15 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to net profit of Rs 70.81 crore posted in the corresponding period of the last financial year.

Net sales of the company dropped by 20.4 per cent to Rs 824.69 crore in the quarter under review. While total income went down by 23 per cent to 860.65 crore , total expenses declined by 6 per cent to Rs 883.26 crore.

Shares of Amtek Auto closed at Rs 29.30, down by 8.58 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange ( BSE).
