India's largest private port operator Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone on Wednesday reported a net profit of Rs 3,622 crore for the second quarter of FY27, marking 17% increase from Rs 3,109 crore in the same period last year.

The company’s revenue from operations came in at Rs 11,340 crore, a 24% surge from Rs 9,167 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The company also raised its FY27 guidance based on a strong first half performance. “Revenue guidance raised by Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 44,000-Rs 46,000 crore, while EBITDA guidance was upped by Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 26,000-Rs 27,000 crore,” the company said in a regulatory filing.

For the quarter under review, Adani Ports reported 13% growth in domestic ports revenue, with a robust EBITDA margin of 72.5%. International ports revenue rose 71%, while EBITDA increased 3.4 times, with the EBITDA margin reaching a record 47.7%.

Logistics revenue grew 21%, driven by the expansion of its integrated “shore-to-door” network. Marine revenue increased 57% year-on-year, supported by global fleet expansion and the company's entry into subsea services.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone also increased its capex guidance by Rs 3,000 crore to Rs 15,000-17,000 crore as it accelerates progress towards its Ambition 2031 goals.

The company’s strong balance sheet supports its growth plans. Operating cash flow of Rs 13,327 crore in H1 funded investments of Rs 10,521 crore. Net debt-to-EBITDA stood at 1.8x despite a capex of Rs 30,346 crore over the past two years, while the cash balance remained robust at Rs 12,502 crore.

Ashwani Gupta, Whole-time Director & CEO said the company’s ability to execute at scale with financial prudence enables it to pursue ambitious growth while leveraging balance-sheet strength and compounding cash flows.

“Against this backdrop, Q2FY27 was another stellar quarter. Domestic Ports continue to anchor our earnings, while International Ports, Logistics and Marine are emerging as powerful growth engines. Reflecting strong H1 performance, we are upgrading our FY27 guidance across revenue, EBITDA and capex,” Gupta added.
