Aarti Industries Q2 net up 58 pc at Rs 28 crore
Chemicals and pharma manufacturer Aarti Industries Ltd (AIL) today said its net profit rose by 58.14 per cent to Rs 28.26 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 17.87 crore during the same period of previous fiscal.
Total income of the company rose to Rs Rs 469.62 crore for the second quarter, as against Rs 398.97 crore in the same period of 2011-12 fiscal, Aarti Industries said in a statement.
Commenting on results Aarti Industries CMD Rajendra Gogri said: "Exports of the company has grown significantly during the period. We are pleased that contribution of export has more than 50 per cent during the period".
The company's board, which met today, also declared an interim dividend of Rs 1.50 per equity share of Rs 5 each, the company said.
Shares of Aarti Industries today closed at Rs 92.75 on the BSE, up 5.28 per cent from its previous close.
