64.67 per cent jump in net profit for TNPL

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Petroproducts Ltd (TNPL) today reported a jump in net profit of Rs 10.77 crore, up by 64.67 per cent for the year ended March 31, 2010.

The company reported a net profit of Rs 6.54 crore in the same period last year, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

However, for the quarter ended March 31,2010 the company reported a net profit of Rs 2.39 crore as against Rs 9.04 crore in the same period of last year, it said.

Total income for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 was Rs 226.93 crore as against Rs 207.68 crore in the same period last year.

For the year ended March 31, 2010, total income stood at Rs 909.38 crore as against Rs 948.97 crore in the same period of last year, the company said.
