Orient Cables IPO opened for subscription today, September 25, 2026, giving investors a three-day bidding window. In the grey market, the issue currently commands a 19% GMP, indicating expectations of a potential premium over the issue price at listing. However, GMP is an unofficial indicator and can change before listing.

The Rs 552 crore Orient Cables IPO is a book-built issue comprising a fresh issue of 1.18 crore shares worth Rs 320 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 85.29 lakh shares worth Rs 232 crore.

The IPO will remain open from September 25 to September 29, 2026. The allotment is expected to be finalised on September 30, while the shares are likely to list on the NSE and BSE on October 5, 2026, subject to applicable timelines.


The company has fixed the IPO price band at Rs 258–Rs 272 per share, with a lot size of 55 shares. At the upper end of the price band, retail investors will need a minimum investment of Rs 14,960 for one lot.

IIFL Capital Services Ltd. and JM Financial Ltd. are the book running lead managers, and Kfin Technologies Ltd. is the registrar of the issue.

Orient Cables IPO GMP Today

The Orient Cables IPO’s last recorded Grey Market Premium (GMP) stands at Rs 52 per share, or around 19%, over the upper price band of Rs 272. Based on the current GMP, the estimated listing price is around Rs 324 per share.

GMP is an unofficial market indicator and is not a guaranteed or reliable predictor of the IPO’s actual listing price. It can fluctuate depending on market conditions and investor sentiment before listing.

Orient Cables IPO: Objects of the Issue

The Orient Cables (India) IPO plans to use the net proceeds to fund its capital expenditure requirements, including purchasing machinery and equipment and civil works at its manufacturing facilities. Around Rs 91.50 crore has been earmarked for this purpose.

The company also proposes to utilise Rs 155.50 crore towards the repayment or prepayment of certain outstanding borrowings, either fully or partially. The remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Financial Performance

Orient Cables (India) Ltd.’s total income increased 42% to Rs 1,182 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 832 crore in FY25. Meanwhile, profit after tax (PAT) remained largely stable at Rs 54 crore, versus Rs 53 crore in the previous financial year.
