IPO of SJVNL unlikely this fiscal: Shinde

NEW DELHI: The government on Wednesday said the initial public offering of hydro power generating company Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVNL) is unlikely to happen in this fiscal.

"SJVNL IPO is unlikely by this fiscal-end," Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde told. The initial public offering of SJVNL was part of government's disinvestment plan. The government had earlier decided to divest 10 per cent in SJVNL through the public offer which was supposed to fetch Rs 12,000 crore.
