Ashoka Buildcon files prospectus with SEBI

Ashoka Buildcon has filed DRHP with SEBI to come out with an IPO of 81 lakh equity shares for its expansion plans.

MUMBAI: Infrastructure developer Ashoka Buildcon on Wednesday said it has filed Draft Red Herring Prospectus with SEBI to come out with an initial public offering of 81 lakh equity shares to carry out its expansion plans.

The issue, the price of which would be determined through book building route, would constitute 15.05 per cent of the post-issue paid up capital of the Nashik-headquartered company, it said in a release here.

Ashoka Buildcon is engaged into toll-based BOT projects mainly in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa, NCR and Tamil Nadu.

Apart from BOT division, the company has also three other areas of operations - Ready Mix Concrete division; engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) division and toll collection contract division.

As on November 30, 2007, the order book position of the company stood at around Rs 1,500 crore, the release said.

IDFC-SSKI, Enam Securities and Kotak Mahindra Capital are the book running lead managers for the issue.
