Alpa Labs closes 20% below issue price
Alpa Laboratories on Monday closed at Rs 54.80, down 20% from its issue price of Rs 68 per share.
A weak market, weighed down by sharp fall in Asian indices, saw the share list at Rs 60 today on the National Stock Exchange. It touched a low of Rs 53.75, while the high was Rs 62. The counter clocked a volume of 97,93,868 shares.
On the BSE, the share touched high of Rs 65 and low of Rs 54 before closing at R 55.60. Around 90,64,748 shares were traded in the counter.
The company plans to use the IPO proceeds of Rs 64.40 crore to part-finance a new plant at Pigdamber in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The plant is being set up at a cost of Rs 70.88 crore.
The company is adding capacities in liquid injections, dry powder injections, ampoules, tablets, creams and dry syrups. Post-expansion, the capacity in these segments will reach 63.57 lakh units per day from 25.32 lakh units per day now.
