Euro hits record low vs Swiss franc

LONDON: The euro briefly fell to a record low versus the Swiss franc on Wednesday as traders continued to test the SNB's resolve to keep the franc from strengthening.

The euro fell to 1.3744 francs according to Reuters data, narrowly surpassing a record low hit on Tuesday of 1.3746. Data released by the SNB on Tuesday had showed a sharp appreciation in the central bank's foreign exchange reserves, prompting traders to conclude further intervention may be unsustainable.
