The dollar was mostly lower against other major currencies in European trading Friday morning. Gold rose.

LONDON: The dollar was mostly lower against other major currencies in European trading Friday morning. Gold rose.

The euro traded at $1.3271, up from $1.3163 late Thursday in New York.

Other dollar rates: 90.45 Japanese yen, up from 89.68. 1.1191 Swiss francs, down from 1.1220. 1.2384 Canadian dollars, down from 1.2508. The British pound was quoted at $1.4932, up from 1.4659.

Gold traded in London at $824.25 per troy ounce, up from $810.00 late Thursday.
