Wasn't shouting for a rate cut this time: Rahul Bajaj, Chairman, Bajaj Group
In a conversation with ET Now, Rahul Bajaj, Chairman, Bajaj Group talks about the latest rate cut and the upcoming festive season. Edited excerpts.

ET Now: Are you happy with the 25 bps rate cut? Do you think it is enough?

Rahul Bajaj: I do not know, nobody knows what is enough but the step is very welcome. Though I have not been shouting for rate reduction as my colleagues and the government. I have always said the Reserve Bank Governor is the right person to decide what is good for India and Indian industry. It was a unanimous decision so it is very welcome and depends on how much of this is passed on by banks to the customers.

ET Now: We are also at the beginning of the festival season, how do you see demand this time around especially for Diwali?

Rahul Bajaj: Hopefully it will be better at least for my motorcycles I do not know about others.
