Do you think the government is on track to revive the economy?

Soumendra Lahiri: The forum (ET event) makes me feel that the country is in good hands. The government has better people in terms of understanding the ground reality. Implementation will be a challenge. We have the right mix of people and systems and processes. We just need to put them together to implement.

What do you expect from this Budget?

Soumendra Lahiri: I think the government has done its bit to kickstart the economy, and now I expect some more focus on how you can put to action things on the infrastructure side and rationalisation of taxes. I think they should walk the path in terms of what they said and what they intend doing.
