HDFC sells 5.5 lakh shares of Ansal Housing

Mumbai: Mortgage lender Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) on Tuesday sold 5.5 lakh shares of Ansal Housing at an average price of 8.27 per share, bulk deal data on the NSE showed. The buyer’s name could not be ascertained immediately. The amount of shares sold by HDFC represents 0.9% stake in Ansal Housing. The housing finance company has been offloading millions of shares of the realty company in recent weeks. The offloading of shares came after HDFC acquired 8.42% stake in Ansal Housing by invoking pledged shares of the company following loan repayment default. Shares of Ansal Housing ended up 5% at 8.40 on Tuesday.
