Zinc futures softens by 0.24 pc

Zinc prices in the futures market today fell by 0.24 pc during early trade as traders were unwilling to enlarge their positions following subdued overseas trend.

NEW DELHI: Zinc prices in the futures market today fell by 0.24 pc during early trade as traders were unwilling to enlarge their positions following subdued overseas trend.

June contract of zinc lost 0.12 pc at Rs 80.80 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange at 1200 hrs. The contract has clocked a business volume of 337 lots.

The July contract eased by 0.24 pc at Rs 82.05 per kg with a volume of business at 139 lots.

The Zinc prices fell by 27 dollar last night to close at 1899 US dollar a metric ton in the London Metal Exchange.
