Zinc futures marginally down on profit-booking

Amid profit-booking by speculators and sluggish subdued demand, zinc futures prices today edged lower by 0.23 per cent to Rs 109.80 per kg.

NEW DELHI: Amid profit-booking by speculators and sluggish subdued demand, zinc futures prices today edged lower by 0.23 per cent to Rs 109.80 per kg.

However, metal's gain at the London Metal Exchange, limited the fall.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in July shed 25 paise, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 109.80 per kg, with a business turnover of 55 lots.

The metal for delivery in June shed 20 paise, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 108.75 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,455 lots.

Marketmen said besides subdued trend in the spot market, profit-booking by speculators mainly put presure on zine futures trade.
