Wheat, sooji prices move up
Prices of wheat, maida and sooji firmed up in the wholesale foodgrain market, while other commodities remained unchanged.

CHENNAI: Prices of wheat, maida and sooji firmed up in the wholesale foodgrain market, while other commodities remained unchanged.
Price of wheat went up by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 1,450 from its previous rate of Rs 1,400.
Sooji (90 kg) rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1,500 from its previous level of Rs 1,450. Maida (90 kg) edged up by Rs 20 to Rs 1,400 from Rs 1,380.
Prices of thoor dal, urad dal, moong dal, gram dal and sugar were steady.
Following are today rates per quintal: Thoor dal Rs 3,900, urad dal Rs 3,450, moong dal Rs 3,200, gram dal Rs 2,500, sugar Rs 1,500, wheat Rs 1,450, maida (90 kg) Rs 1,400 and sooji (90 kg) Rs 1,500.
