Wheat prices weak on increased selling

NEW DELHI: A downfall in wheat dara prices remained unabated as prices dropped by 20-25 quintal in straight four trading session in the wholesale grain market today due to selling pressure from stockists amid increased supply.

The wheat dara prices fell by Rs 2 at Rs 1,040-1,042 per quintal on increased supply. Rolling flour mills and chakki atta prices also turned weak and lost Rs 5 each at Rs 1,038-1,042 and Rs 1,035-1,042 per bag of 90 kilo respectively.

There was some selling pressure in maida and sooji, which fell by Rs 10 each for per bag of 90 kg at Rs 1,140-1,150 and Rs 1,200-1,210, respectively.
