Wheat prices rise, urad dal falls
Price of wheat moved up, while rates for urad dal fell in the wholesale market

Chennai: The price of wheat moved up, while rates for urad dal fell in the wholesale market here today. The price of other food commodities remained unchanged.
Wheat rose by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 1,650 from the previous rate of Rs 1,600. Urad dal fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,500 from the previous rate of Rs 7,600. The price of other food commodities remained unaltered from their previous rates.
The following are today's rates per quintal: thoor dal Rs 7,000, urad dal Rs 7,500, moong dal Rs 9,400, gram dal Rs 2,600, sugar Rs 2,850, wheat Rs 1,650, maida (90 kg) Rs 1,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 1,750.
