Wheat prices eases on adequate supply
Wholesale wheat prices weakned by Rs 25 per quintal in the national capital on Saturday on reduced offtake by rolling flour mills against adequate supply.
NEW DELHI : Wholesale wheat prices weakned by Rs 25 per quintal in the national capital on Saturday on reduced offtake by rolling flour mills against adequate supply.
Wheat MP (deshi) superior quality traded lower by Rs 25 at Rs 1300-1575 per quintal on increased arrival from Madhya pradesh.
Wheat dara (for mills), which is mostly used by rolling flour mills, also shed Rs 10 at Rs 1040-1115 per quintal on reduced offtake.
Atta chakki delivery and roller flour mills followed suit and quoted lower by Rs 20 and Rs 15 at Rs 1060-1065 and Rs 1100-1105 per 90 kg respectively.
Traders said adequate stocks positions against reduced offtake from rolling flour mills mainly brought down wheat prices, adding, reports that government is likely to release 4-5 lakh tons of wheat for the states in the next two weeks under the open market sale scheme.
Rice basmati (lal quila) 9,000, Shri Lal Mahal 9,000, Super basmati rice 8,900, Basmati common 6,600-6,800, Permal raw 1,375-1,475, permal wand 1,550-1,700, sela 1,795-1,945 and rice IR-8 1,200-1,400, Bajra 780-805, Jowar yellow 800-850, white 1255-1315, Maize 900-950, Barley (UP) 1,150-1,180 and Rajasthan 1110-1120.
