Wheat prices ease on adequate supply
Wheat prices eased by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on reduced offtake by flour mills against adequate stocks.

However, other bold grains firmed up on increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said easing demand at prevailing levels against sufficient stocks mainly kept pressure on wheat prices. However, they said pick up in demand from consuming industries against restricted arrivals from producing belts led to rise in bold grains prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) shed Rs 5 at Rs 1,685-1,715 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 1,705-1,720 per 90 kg.
Atta roller flour mills and maida too weakened by Rs 10 and Rs 5 to Rs 900-905 and Rs 945-950 per 50 kg respectively.
On the other hand, other bold grains like bajra, maize and barley were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 1,280-1,290, Rs 1,470-1,520 and Rs 1,420-1,430 per quintal respectively. Jowar yellow and and white traded higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 1,600-1,700 and Rs 3,100-3,200 per quintal respectively.
