The wheat for delivery in February gained Rs 30, or 1.97 per cent, to Rs 1,550 per quintal, having an open interest in 7,670 lots.
Marketmen attributed the rise in wheat prices at futures trade to speculative positions built-up by participants on hopes that export demand may rise following a recent surge in prices in global markets.
