Wheat dara prices down on ample supply

Marketmen said sustained supply against fall in buying interest mainly pulled down wheat dara prices further.

NEW DELHI: Wheat dara prices declined further by Rs 5 a quintal in the wholesale grain market here today owing to increased supply against restricted demand.

Chakaki atta and rolling flour mills prices too met with some resistance in line with wheat and ended lower. However, other prices maintained last levels on some support.

Marketmen said sustained supply against fall in buying interest mainly pulled down wheat dara prices further.

Wheat dara dipped by Rs 5 to close at Rs 1,040-1,045 from Rs 1,045-1,050 a quintal on stockist selling, while wheat mp deshi maintained last levels on at Rs 1,325-1,600 a quintal.

Chakki atta delivery also lean down from Rs 1,040-1,045 to Rs 1,035-1,038 per 90 kg bags and rolling flour mills prices were at Rs 1,030-1,035 from Rs 1,035-1,040 a 90 kg bags.

Maida and sooji price too lost to settle at Rs 1,125-1,135 and Rs 1,125-1,145 instead of Rs 1,130-1,140 and Rs 1,130-1,150 a 90 kg bag respectively on poor offtake by local parties.
