Urad dal, moong dal slides
Prices of urad dal, moong dal and sugar moved down, while all other commodities ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrains market on Saturday.

CHENNAI: Prices of urad dal, moong dal and sugar moved down, while all other commodities ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrains market here on Saturday.
Moong dal moved down by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 4,500 against the previous rate of Rs 4,650. urad dal declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 4,500 from Rs 4,600.
Sugar shed by Rs 30 per quintal to Rs 2,000 against Friday's rate of Rs 2,030.
Toor dal, gram dal, wheat, maida and sooji were traded at their previous rates.
Following are today's rates (per quintal): Thoor dal Rs 4,750, urad dal Rs 4,500, moong dal Rs 4,500, gram dal Rs 3,000, sugar Rs 2,000, wheat Rs 1,550, maida (90 kgs) Rs 1,480 and sooji (90 kgs) Rs 1,600.
