Urad and gram dal prices decline
Prices of urad dal and gram dal declined while sugar edged up marginally on the wholesale foodgrains market.

CHENNAI: Prices of urad dal and gram dal declined while sugar edged up marginally on the wholesale foodgrains market here on Wednesday.
All other commodities ruled steady. Urad Dal and Gram dal went down by Rs.50 each per quintal to Rs 3,450 and Rs.2,450 respectively from their previous rates of Rs.3,500 and Rs.2,500.
However, sugar price rose by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 1,360.
Following are today's rates per quintal: Thoor dal Rs.3,900, urad dal Rs.3,450, moong dal Rs.3,200, gram dal Rs.2,450, sugar Rs.1,360, wheat Rs.1,400. Maida (90 kgs) Rs.1,380 and sooji Rs.1,450.
