Turmeric, jeera rise by Rs 100
Jeera common and jeera best quality also higher by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 13,000-13,600 and Rs 17,000-17,600 per quintal, respectively.
Restricted arrivals from producing belts also supported the uptrend.
Turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 6,700- 11,700 per quintal.

Traders said buying support from retailers and exporters against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up turmeric and jeera prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
The following are on Thursday's quotations per quintal: Ajwain 10,500-17,000, black pepper (per kg) 400-525, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,000-1,055 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,070-1,200.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 640-740, cardamom (colour robin) 590-690, cardamom bold 640-690, cardamom extra (bold) 790-890 and cloves (kg) 700-825.
