Turmeric, jeera decline on subdued demand
NEW DELHI: Turmeric and jeera prices fell by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today owing to reduced demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stock positions.

Weakening trend in futures market also put pressure on the select spice prices.

Turmeric prices fell by Rs 200 to Rs 8,700-13,300 per quintal.

Jeera common and best quality also declined by Rs 200 each to Rs 13,900-14,400 and Rs 17,100-17,600 per quintal.

Marketmen said reduced demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stock positions mainly pulled down turmeric and jeera prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
