Turmeric futures down 1.27 pc on sluggish demand
At the NCDEX, turmeric for delivery in May moved down by Rs 76, or 1.27 per cent to Rs 5,920 per quintal with an open interest of 315 lots.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in May moved down by Rs 76, or 1.27 per cent to Rs 5,920 per quintal with an open interest of 315 lots.
The June contract of the spice traded lower by Rs 20, or 0.33 per cent to Rs 5,960 per quintal in 24,310 lots.
Analysts attributed fall in turmeric prices to offloading of positions by speculators in view of sluggish demand in spot markets.
