Tur dal moves up, sugar declines
The prices of tur dal increased, while those of sugar decreased in the foodgrains market here today.
CHENNAI: The prices of tur dal increased, while those of sugar decreased in the foodgrains market here today.
Prices of all other commodities remained unchanged. Tur dal went up by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 7,500 from its previous rate of Rs 7,300.
Sugar declined by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 3,450 from Rs 3,500.
Prices of urad dal, moong dal, gram dal, wheat, maida (90 kg) and sooji (90 kg) ruled steady.
The following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities today (in rupees per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Tur Dal Rs 7,500, Urad Dal Rs 5,700, Moong Dal Rs 7,500, Gram Dal Rs 5,800, Sugar Rs 3,450, Wheat Rs 2,200,Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,200 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,300.
