Thoor dal, gram dal move down

CHENNAI: Prices of thoor dal, gram dal and sooji moved down while other major commodities remained unchanged in the wholesale foodgrains market here on Monday.

Both thoor dal and gram dal moved down by Rs 50 each per quintal to Rs 4,600 and Rs 3,000 against previous rate of Rs 4,650 and Rs 3,050, respectively.

Sooji edged down by Rs 25 per 90 kgs to Rs 1,500. Urad dal, moong dal, sugar, wheat and maida were traded at their previous rates.

Following are Monday's rates per quintal: Thoor dal Rs.4,600, urad dal Rs.4,500, moong dal Rs.4,500, gram dal Rs.3,000, sugar Rs.1,800, wheat Rs.1,550, maida (90 kgs) Rs.1,450 and sooji (90 kgs) Rs.1,500.
