Sugar prices up on increased demand

Sugar millgate prices rose by Rs 10 a quintal in the national capital on Saturday on scattered buying by retailers.

NEW DELHI: Sugar millgate prices rose by Rs 10 a quintal in the national capital on Saturday on scattered buying by retailers.

Marketmen said scattered demand from retailers mainly helped the mill gate prices to improve on the wholesale sugar market.

In the millgate prices Modinagar and bagpat prices declined by Rs 10 each at Rs 1460 and Rs 1425 a quintal.
