Sugar prices end steady on small buying

NEW DELHI: Sugar prices settled at last levels in the national capital today following sporadic buying support.

Marketmen said restricted supply from mills and little buying support from retailers and bulk consumers such as soft-drink and ice-cream making industries, mainly helped keep prices around overnight levels.

The following were today's quotations per quintal: Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,220-3,320, S-30 Rs 3,200-3,300. Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,060-3,200; S-30 Rs 3,060-3,180. Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana 3160, Kinnoni 3,245, Asmoli 3,180, Dorala 3,145, Budhana 3,140, Thanabhavan 3,140, Dhanora 3,145, Simbholi 3,215, Modi Nagar 3,125, Khatuli 3,125, Dhampur 3,090, Ramala 3,070, Bulandshar 3,110, Anupshar 3,060, Baghpat 3,100, Morna 3,090, Sakoti 3,100, Chandpur 3,120, Amroha 3,125 and Nazibabad 3080.
