Sugar, maida and sooji falls

CHENNAI: Prices of sugar, maida and sooji declined, while rest all other commodities remained unaltered in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Prices of sugar, maida and sooji moved down by Rs 50 per each to Rs 2,950, Rs 1,550 and Rs1,650 from yesterdays rate of Rs 3,000, Rs 1,600 and Rs 1,700, respectively.

Thoor dal, urad dal, moong dal, gram dal and wheat remained unchanged from yesterdays level.

Following are the today's rates per quintal: Thoor dal Rs 7,000, urad dal Rs 7,000, moong dal Rs 8,900, gram dal Rs 2,700, sugar Rs 2,950, wheat Rs 1,650, maida (90 kgs) Rs 1,550 and sooji (90 kgs) Rs 1,650.
