Sugar ends quiet on small buying

NEW DELHI: The wholesale sugar market ended quiet in the national capital today as prices moved in a tight range on small alternate bouts of trading before settling at previous levels.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position in the markets against current demand, mainly held prices unaltered.

The following were today's quotations per quintal: Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,200-3,300, S-30 Rs 3,180-3,280. Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,060-3,180; S-30 Rs 3,050-3,160. Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana 3140, Kinnoni 3,220, Asmoli 3,170, Dorala 3,140, Budhana 3,130, Thanabhavan 3,125, Dhanora 3,140, Simbholi 3,210, Modi Nagar 3,120, Khatuli 3,125, Dhampur 3,090, Ramala 3,055, Bulandshar 3,085, Anupshar 3,060, Baghpat 3,085, Morna 3,075, Sakoti 3,085, Chandpur 3,075, Amroha 3,080 and Nazibabad 3065.
