Sugar prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today following reduced offtake amid increased supply from mills.

NEW DELHI: Sugar prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today following reduced offtake amid increased supply from mills.

Marketmen said absence of buying support and regular supply from mills, mainly kept the sweetener prices in red zone.

Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices slipped from Rs 3350-3480 and Rs 3325-3450 to settle at Rs 3300-3420 and Rs 3275-3425 per quintal, respectively.

Similarly, mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices dropped from Rs 3170-3320 and Rs 3160-3290 to end at Rs 3130-3220 and Rs 3110-3200 per quintal.

Among millgate including duty section, sugar mawana and kinnoni declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 3210 and Rs 3285 per quintal.

Bulandshar and Chandpur also eased by Rs 50 each to Rs 3180 and Rs 3170 per quintal.
