MUMBAI: Both the varieties of Sugar prices declined at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to subdued demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample supplies.

Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 20 per quintal to Rs 2,986/3,192 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 2,986/3,212.

Small sugar (S-30) also slipped by Rs 8 per quintal to Rs 2,856/3,012 as against Rs 2,862/3,012 yesterday.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,856/3,012 (Rs 2,862/3,012).

Medium sugar(M-30) quality: Rs 2,986/3,192 (Rs 2,986/3,212).
