Sugar closes quiet on small buying support

NEW DELHI: The wholesale sugar prices ended quiet in the national capital today as prices after moving both ways on alternate small bouts of trading, settled at last levels.

Marketmen said apart from heavy stocks position, ongoing summer demand mainly held prices unmoved.

The following are today's quotations per quintal: Sugar ready: M-30 3,200-3,350, S-30 3,175-3,300. Mill delivery: M-30 3,000-3,225; S-30 2,975-3,200.

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinnoni 3,220, Asmoli 3,200, Mawana 3,160, Titabi 3,150, Thanabhavan 3,100, Budhana 3,110, Dorala 3,150, Khatauli 3,145, Morna 3,040 and Ramala 3,020, sakoti 3040, Chandpur 3030.
