NEW DELHI: In a mixed pattern of trading, arhar and its dal prices shot up Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today on better demand from retailers against tight supplies from producing belts.

However, moong and masoor eased on higher supplies against lack of buying support at prevailing levels.

Traders said scattered demand from retailers amid restricted arrival from producing belts mainly led to the rise in arhar and its dal prices.

In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety rose Rs 100 each to Rs 7,500-7,650 and Rs 8,950-9,150 per quintal, respectively.
