Steel prices remain steady in thin trade

New Delhi: There was not much activity at the wholesale steel market in the national capital today as prices moved in a tight range in the absence of buying support and settled around previous levels.

Traders said lack of worthwhile activity from construction units against sufficient stocks kept prices at previous levels.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 35,400, 10-mm Rs 33,600, 12-mm Rs 33,000, 16-25 mm Rs 33,000.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800.
