Steel prices remain quiet in thin trade

NEW DELHI: Quiet conditions persisted at the wholesale steel market as saria and other steel prices continued to trade in a tight range on negligible enquiries from constructions units and settled around previous levels.

Traders said negligible enquiries from construction units against adequate stocks position mainly kept steel prices unaltered.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 43,500, 10-mm Rs 43,000, 12-mm Rs 40,600, 16-25 mm Rs 41,400.

Amba Shakti (TMT): 8-mm Rs 45,200, 10-mm Rs 42,900, 12-mm, Rs 41,900, 16-25 mm Rs 42,000.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800.

Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) Rs 44,600. Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000. PTI
