Steel prices remain flat in thin trade

NEW DELHI: The wholesale steel market in the national capital ended flat today as prices of saria and other steels continued to move in a narrow range on little doing and settled around previous levels.

Traders said scattered deals from construction units against adequate stocks position mainly kept steel prices flat.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne): Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 47,900, 10-mm Rs 47,400, 12-mm Rs 45,000, 16-25 mm Rs 45,700.

Amba Shakti (TMT): 8-mm Rs 45,700, 10-mm Rs 43,400, 12-mm Rs 42,400, 16-25 mm Rs 42,500.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800.

Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) Rs 44,600. Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000.
