Steel prices end flat in thin trade

Local steel and iron market remained flat as prices moved in a narrow range on lack of worthwhile buying support, settle around previous levels.

NEW DELHI: The local steel and iron market remained flat today as prices moved in a narrow range on lack of worthwhile buying support, settle around previous levels.

Traders said steel adequate stocks against lack of worthwhile buying support from constructions' unit mainly kept steel prices unaltered.

The following are today's quotations per tonne: CTD saria (Kamdhenu): 8-mm 47,200, 10-mm 47,500, 12-mm 46,900, 16-25 mm 46,500.

Saria Jai Bharat (TMT): 8-mm 45,900, 10 mm 45,100, 12-mm 44,400,16-25 mm 44,700.

Amba shakti (TMT): 8-mm 41,900, 10-mm 41,000, 12-mm 40,400, 16-25 mm 40,800.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) 33,000, (40x5) (40x6) 33,500. Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) 36,900, (35X5) (65X6) 33,900. Girder 125X65 RS 39,300.
