STCL launches Flavourit brand of spices in US mkt
STCL has launched "Flavourit", a brand of spices (organic products) in the US market and is in the process of appointing distributors in other overseas markets as well.
BANGALORE: State-run STCL has launched "Flavourit", a brand of spices (organic products) in the US market and is in the process of appointing distributors in other overseas markets as well.
Company officials said STCL in coordination with the Spices Board was aggressively promoting the sale of Flavourit brand of spices in the domestic and overseas markets which included online trading.
They said the company had evolved a suitable pricing policy for its brand of spices to cater to different categories of buyers such as department stores, leading retail chains and hotels to facilitate volume sales.
The company announced on Friday that it had registered a record turnover of Rs 470.78 crore in 2005-06 against Rs 431.96 crore in the previous year.
The trading profit increased from Rs 7.53 crore to Rs 11.32 crore, while net profit rose to Rs 5.98 crore from Rs 3.58 crore, company's Chairman Arvind Pandalai and Managing Director K C Ponnana told reporters here.
