STC, MMTC to sell 60,000 tons of imported matar

Out of the total quantity of yellow peas to be sold by STC, 9,286.15 tons are of German origin and 13,433.01 tons are from France. MMTC will sell the pulses imported from Canada.

NEW DELHI: Government-owned MMTC and State Trading Corporation have floated tenders to sell nearly 60,000 tons of imported yellow peas (white matar), a move seen at softening the prices of pulses in the festival season.
While STC wants to sell 22,719.16 tons of yellow peas of German and France origin, MMTC plans to sell 36,750 tons.
Out of the total quantity of yellow peas to be sold by STC, 9,286.15 tons are of German origin and 13,433.01 tons are from France. MMTC will sell the pulses imported from Canada.
The last date for submission of bids for STC tender is September 24 and that for MMTC is September 25.
