State Trading Corp gets 3 bids for importing wheat
STC have received three bids from multinational firms Cargill, Glencore and Toepfer for importing wheat.

NEW DELHI: State Trading Corporation is understood to have received three bids from multinational firms Cargill, Glencore and Toepfer for importing wheat.
The lowest bid is at a price of 459.9 dollars per tonne and the highest bid came at a record price of 579.6 dollars a tonne, trade sources said.
The bids are for supply of more than three lakh tonnes of imported wheat, although the exact quantity could not be immediately ascertained. STC had not mentioned any exact quantity for buying wheat in this tender.
