Soyabean, palm oil up on firming global cues

Soyabean and palm oil prices firmed up on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market in New Delhi on Saturday.

NEW DELHI: Soyabean and palm oil prices firmed up on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market here on Saturday on stockists buying influenced by reports of a firming trend in global markets and ended higher by Rs 50 per quintal.

Marketmen said in soyabean and palmoil section, prices were higher following reports a firming trend in Malaysian market, where these commodities zoomed to set a record high at $949.50 a tonne.

In edible oils section, soyabean refined mill delivery posted higher by Rs 50 to settle at Rs 5,800 a quintal on rise in its price at international market.

Soyabean degum Delhi price also gained by Rs 50 to end at Rs 5,650 a quintal on better offtake.

Palmoline rbd too improved by Rs 50 at Rs 5,550 per quintal in line with general trend.

Cottonseed oils moved up by Rs 30 to yielded at Rs 5,250 a quintal due to less ready stocks.

In non-edible oils section, neem oils rose from Rs 3,700-3,800 to settle at Rs 3,750-3,850 a quintal on rise in industrial demand.
