Soyabean futures up on increased buying

The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean price for March contract moved up by Rs 26 or 0.80 per cent.

New Delhi: Soyabean prices rose by Rs 26 to Rs 3,286 per quintal in future trading Thursday on firm overseas advices.

Marketmen said traders indulged in extending their positions, taking cues from higher international market trend.

Pick up in demand at domestic markets too influenced the trading sentiments here in future prices, they said.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean price for March contract moved up by Rs 26 or 0.80 per cent to Rs 3,286 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 1,20,160 lots.

The commodity for February contract rose by Rs 10.50 or 0.32 per cent to Rs 3,320 per quintal, having an open interest of 36.430 lots.
